A Very Ancient Toe!
This toe once belonged to a woman of the age of about 50-60 years old.She might have suffered from Diabetes? Well, maybe. This ancient toe was found in the tomb of a mummy in Thebes. Notice how the joint of the wooded toe worked? Where the rawhide stitching is. This area is where the wooden joint would bend. This would then make this toe flexible. This is now the most recent find, and is now believed to be the oldest Prosthic body part known to man. It can now be seen in the muesum in Cairo Egypt.Filed under: Ancient / Mythology
