Ecuador in South, America.

Ecuador is the Purple color at the top left area of this map, just below Colombia, and above Peru. This is the area I was referring to in my post of one of the cheapest places to live. One Person can live in the Upper Middle Class here for just $200.00 to $500.00 US dollars per Month! Medical Care is also very good here as well. There is healthy fresh fruits, and vegetables here year long, and very cheap, and picked often. This is hard to come by in colder climates, and also more expensive to transport, increasing the cost onto the consumer. This is just one of many good affordible places to live.

bluesbaby5050: The Ande's Mountain Range runs the length of the........

Runs the length of the western side of South America, down though the Staits of Magellen, and the opening between Chile, and Argentina. Around the turn of the 20th century the Panama Canal was built to save time, and not having to risks lifes having to travel though terrible storms ,and strong winds, and rough seas. Many ships were lost at sea because of these conditions having to use this as the only trade route for shipping, and travel. But the opening of the Panama Canal solved this problem, and is now considered as one of the 7 wonders of the world!

dvogel: Ecuador is truely special

Besides all that Ecuador has a big hidden history with the hundreds of kilometers of underground tunnels maybe even leading to the inner earth. Father Crespi was a big collector of the items the native indians brought him from some of these tunnels.
