Dahlia Wasfi (born 1971) is an Iraqi-American physician and peace activist. Born in New York City, her mother is an Austrian Jew and her father, a Muslim Iraqi. She graduated from Swarthmore College in 1993 with BA in Biology and earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997.

Part of Dr. Wasfi's April 27, 2006 address to the Congressional Progressive Caucus included these statements:

“I speak to you today on behalf of relatives on my mother’s side - Ashkenazi Jews, who fled their homeland of Austria during Hitler’s Anschluss. It is for them that we say 'Never again.'

"I speak to you today on behalf of relatives on my father’s side, who are not living, but dying, under the occupation of this administration’s deadly foray in Iraq. From the lack of security to the lack of basic supplies to the lack of electricity to the lack of potable water to the lack of jobs to the lack of reconstruction to the lack of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, they are much worse off now than before we invaded. 'Never again' should apply to them, too."

HebrianDaniel: no i dont support war because

no i dont support war because its bad for economy
like in israel when soldiers called for year and coming back later they get message from their boss that they are fired and goverment dont really care about it.
btw ashkenazi jewish people dont look jewish genetic
a real jewish people whould look more semitic/middle eastern than european...
i myself atheist jewish who has Morrocan spaniard and middle eastern heritage :P

so i guess i am closer than them

UN.i1-PHI: why do you think war is bad for 'economy' HD?

just because if you join the army and come back you fired but you say the government dont really care about it so if this government would care about its economy(if they dont want a crisis, sometimes they do want it for reasons and create it consciously) why wouldnt they not care about the employment? maybe because their economy is doing fine regardless of the current state and fluctuation of employment to not care about the employment of ex-soldiers as it relies on dirty war money

you could rather say war is money, but it is much more than that as money too is a tool for continuous control, just like the governments and their (mainstream/controlled) media and politics

people in holland/ the netherlands are calling for a stop financing israel for its occupation war wich is excused in the name of war on terror(ists they put/create out there and probably control them, themselves) but are being ignored and diverted with more 'radical islamism' and phoney ISIS-ism in holland and elsewhere by the corrupted media

pasqualie: War is money

war only exists because they make more money in a day of war than a year of peace.

look at the military budgets of the countries , and you will see who benefits the most from war.

not only for the companies selling the weapons and ammunition, but it polarizes sides and brings in money kind of like a campaign from different factions, and support groups.

also some countries get billions from the americans for security. so its not in their best interest to have peace, because the incentive is not there.

its why afghanistan is a mess, because if they actually have peace there, then pakistan doesnt get 1 billion a year from the americans for military and security. so they allow things to continue by turning a blind eye.

other countries around the world get money from the americans also, so to keep the gravy train flowing, there has to be flare ups, to justify the billions given to them, when congress votes on it every year.

nivine: War doesn't determine who is right..only who is left!

I've never seen anyone from all over the world..someone that wants war..
Go ahead ask! from Hindu's, Africans, Americans, Arabs, Europeans, Turkish.. or any other country! go ahead.. ask anyone if they want war!
Let all the soldiers from every single side, decide not to listen to any order anymore, and take off their helmet and their suits ..plenty of rich folks wants to fight .. just give them the guns!
Too bad they were able to divide, distract, then deceive us.. creating hatred among that they can protect the interests of the powerful business elites that run the world..
To me..
Money is just a reason for them to have access to other countries. As they created a dollar bill, they can create an infinite number of it..
And also its not a matter of oil, gas or any other fuels because electric power is everywhere and can drive the worlds machinery without any kind of fuel..
War is just a matter of power and controlling every single corner of the world..
It is just a way to divide us, and create hatred among us... imagine how powerful we will be ..if the world consists of united people that care about one another, listen to one another and accept each other's differences!
