Urantia Book

by killaj22 on January 13th, 2017

Hello Truth Control. I've been posting quite a few comments in another Forum, that started out discussing Satan and Lucifer, and whether they were the same or not.

My comments have flowed into other discussions, such as Adam and Eve, Tree of Life, and Jesus coming to Earth.

If anyone has read the Urantia Book, or even heard of it, I'd like to know your thoughts about it. I've got a burning desire to discuss this book. I want to stress, don't blindly believe what is discussed, but read the book and make your own conclusions.

I have always believed in God, and Jesus, but have been confused with what the Bible tells us. I've always wondered, why would God create only 1 planet of mortals? Why stop there if he's such a powerful being?

I doubt I will fully understand everything contained in this Urantia Book, but it is starting to explain many mysteries about our past, and the way it is masterfully written, adds to my confidence in what it states.

Do you have a link? I'm @ work an it would be nice to have something to read between calls.

killaj22: Try this one

On the left hand side, is a list of the different parts of the book.

There are 4 major parts of the book, with many papers within each major part.

BenjaminFalkenrath: Thank you :)

Thank you :)

BenjaminFalkenrath: So, when a being losing his

So, when a being losing his or her existence. Then does their energies essence just get re-absorbed or transformed? I mean they no longer exist but energy can't be destroyed. What happens to it? OR do I need to read further lol

Quinton: I have read a lot of parts of

I have read a lot of parts of it and listened to parts of it on audio book as well. It's probably been like 5 years or so since I've dived into it but I really like it.

My main thought on it is the same thought I have on a lot of info from Alex Collier and the A's. I think that the writers of the Urantia book (in this case the channeled entities) know that the majority of readers come from a Christian viewpoint and so somewhat write the story from that framework. Keep in mind the book is over 50 years old and back then there were a lot more ardent Christians and that was the main audience of the book. Now people don't care as much, but that book has a fairly strong Christian flavor because it was writing for that audience I think. I see this same thing with "A Course in Miracles" and the info from Alex Collier and the A's like I said.

So I find that aspect of it fascinating. You have historical events going on, and then you have most people viewing these historical events from the perspective of the Bible (which is partially true perhaps, probably more so BS and inaccurate) and then books like Urantia working from this foundation because that is the foundation the audience is expecting. Rather than saying what actually happened they instead have to brand it in a Christian viewpoint and as such lose some of the real value of what really happened. Rather than just telling the straight history they instead tell the history laced in a dumbed down Christian/Hebrew version. This is of course my perspective but this is the underlying feeling I get when reading it. And I'm not saying it's bad at all. It's just something I can't help but see and I don't really ever hear anyone talking about it.

Overall I think it's a fascinating book with tons of great info. I know it has shaped my view on a lot of things, especially with how it describes the races in the book like the violet race, the blue race, etc, etc. That stuff is fascinating to me and corroborates a lot of the research I have done from the lost 10 tribes of Israel as well as lots of Egyptian history. I think it all fits in pretty well and the book has a lot of good points. I would definitely recommend it. I actually have quite a few quotes on this site from that book that I found interesting while reading it.

Let me give a few examples of powerful stuff that I have previously quoted on this site and give my commentary:

Amid all this confusion of terminology and haziness of concept, many devout believers sincerely endeavored to worship all of these evolving ideas of divinity, and there grew up the practice of referring to this composite Deity as El. And this term included still other of the Bedouin nature gods.

This right here is actually really heavy. This is talking about the origins of the Hebrew god and Judaism. It is showing how Judaism and the god "El" evolved out of many different worships such as solar worship, moon worship, solar worship, volcano worship, sex worship and more. If people really understood this they would better understand much of the symbolism in the Bible and history and would better understand how it fits into Christianity and other religions today. Super important stuff. It corroborates exactly what Jordan Maxwell has been telling us about the origins of religions for years.

I mean check this one out:

Yahweh was the god of the southern Palestinian tribes, who associated this concept of deity with Mount Horeb, the Sinai volcano. Yahweh was merely one of the hundreds and thousands of nature gods which held the attention and claimed the worship of the Semitic tribes and peoples.

Right there it is saying this tribe worshiped the volcano. Jordan Maxwell tells us how Sinai means the god Sin + AI. AI means mountain. Their mountain god Sin. This stuff fits in pretty tightly with research.

The Israelitish consciousness took origin in the hill country of Ephraim; the later Jewish consciousness originated in the southern clan of Judah. The Jews (Judahites) always sought to defame and blacken the record of the northern Israelites (Ephraimites).

This is some more heavy stuff. This is talking about the split of Israel in the Bible: the Northern Kingdom and the Southern Kingdom. This is also an example of what I'm talking about when you have the Urantia Book branding things under Christianity so that people can better understand it. It is explaining a non-Christian thing in Christian concepts. There are layers to all this.

But anyway, look at what it is saying. You have the hill country of Ephraim (one of the two sons of Joseph), Northern Kingdom. And then the Southern Kingdom Judah which is Jewish. The book "The Bible Unearthed" talks about this exact point as well. You have these two separate groups of people creating their own cultures and it even mentions how the Judites seek to defame the Northern Israelites. This right here is a really heavy story when you look more into it. This gets into Egypt, British Israelism, the German Windsors (Saxe-Coburg-Gotha) ruling in Britain. British meaning "covenant man". Brit = convenant, ish = man. This is some really heavy stuff and the Urantia book is basically corroborating exactly what research into this topic shows.

Adam and Eve did fall from their high estate of material sonship down to the lowly status of mortal man. But that was not the fall of man. The human race has been uplifted despite the immediate consequences of the Adamic default. Although the divine plan of giving the violet race to the Urantia peoples miscarried, the mortal races have profited enormously from the limited contribution which Adam and his descendants made to the Urantia races.

This is super interesting to me. There is a lot being said right here. Again, take it for what it's worth.

You would be far more disease resistant if your races carried more of the Adamic life.

This is super not politically correct. This is a straight racist remark. I'm not saying it's good or bad. It's just interesting the book has the guts to say something like this. Take it for what it's worth...

Adam and Eve were the founders of the violet race of men, the ninth human race to appear on Urantia. Adam and his offspring had blue eyes, and the violet peoples were characterized by fair complexions and light hair color—yellow, red, and brown.

Eve did not suffer pain in childbirth; neither did the early evolutionary races. Only the mixed races produced by the union of evolutionary man with the Nodites and later with the Adamites suffered the severe pangs of childbirth.

Super interesting. Again, totally not politically correct.

I could go on and on but this is good for now. I haven't looked at this stuff for a while and it's really cool stuff :). Thanks for posting!

killaj22: Hmmm...

Losing his existence as in dying? From what I have read, when a person dies on Urantia, they either enter a deep sleep, and are awakened during the next epoch( I'm confused on how long an epoch is, but it implied thousands of years) To the person though, its as if they closed and then reopened their eyes, with no time passing..

Or they receive a guide/guardian, upon death, that takes their soul to the first Mansion World of their local system. You must reach a certain level of spiritual, experiential, and intellectual growth to be awarded a guide/guardian.

BUT, if a being refuses to obey the Universal rules of the Father, and they choose to sin, then they are judged by the Ancients of Days, and may be taken out of existence. They will become as if they never were. But a being like that is given many, many, many chances to repent.

15:7.5 (174.5) Jerusem, the headquarters of your local system of Satania, has its seven worlds of transition culture, each of which is encircled by seven satellites, among which are the seven mansion worlds of morontia detention, man’s first postmortal residence. As the term heaven has been used on Urantia, it has sometimes meant these seven mansion worlds, the first mansion world being denominated the first heaven, and so on to the seventh.

Morontia existence is described as being in between the spiritual and material phase. You aren't quite solid, but not quite a spirit yet either.

BenjaminFalkenrath: I was reading the portion

I was reading the portion indicating whereupon after such chances an the trial and judgment that one simply ceases to exist an it bares the question as to what is done with the energy signature of said being, just out of my seer curiosity.

killaj22: You just cease to exists

I haven't read where it explains exactly how they do it. I'm just under the impression that once such a decision is made to terminate a personality, you just cease to exists. Instantly it's as if you were never even created.

I'm sure there is more to it, regarding the actual energy. I want to say there is a process where that energy is recycled somehow, but like I said I don't fully understand that part yet lol.

BenjaminFalkenrath: Well, the energy would need

Well, the energy would need to be condensed an hardened an then polarized. The Negative would become positive an then used for another purpose.

Breezy: Wow!!

I'm just excited to see that someone else knows about the Urantia! I have had the book for a decade and NO ONE that I know has heard of it. I haven't read a lot of it cause it was not easy to absorb while raising my punkins... :) I am so glad I stumbled into a thinking/truth group!

killaj22: Good Deal

Glad to hear you enjoy the Urantia Book! Haven't posted much about it since the original posting, but I've been listening to it almost daily. It is much easier to absorb when listened to.

I don't know anyone , out side of this site, and a handful of people online who have heard of it either.

FreedomsV: The Urantia Book

I have a copy of the book, it is a bit arduous to understand because it uses terminology you and I have never heard of before. I would like to study it with others who are interested and have a copy too. Some knowledge is better left hidden though. I don't know the source but it's not humans that left this behind. If so, they are humans of a different breed of learning.

Tarheel: my interpretstion

I interpret that book as someone trying to mold yet another reality. It's okay as we all have our own reality that was started with a basic framework and we fill out what we can based on what has and does influence us. Thus all the subconscious programming by those who wish for us to conform to their reality. Recognize theirs but create your own is my humble advice.

BenjaminFalkenrath: I've been so busy as of late.

I've been so busy as of late. My wife an I finally got a new car. So nice to be off riding the bus. My son hasn't had a seizure in some time which is good... Someone gifted us an older computer yesterday so I'm waiting for some hardware I ordered to get that running so by next week I should be able to start writing again lol
I wish I had the audio book it is very hard with a 3 and 5 yro to absorb this wonderful book. I feel ya there...

Tarheel: Glad things are comin about for ya

Glad Jr is ok,too.
Enjoy yer new wheels.

BenjaminFalkenrath: Indeed :)

Indeed :)

John Duncan: Wow, what an interesting book

Wow, what an interesting book, and even more engrossing idea of the heavens, God, and mankind. I am very interested in this Urantia book. I went to the Urantia website through your link, and got a good quick introduction. Thanks for sharing!

killaj22: Good deal!

Good deal John. Glad you've checked it out.
