A Thought for Change
Just a little something i wrote, hope you learn something new or view things in a new way if you dont already. Peace and love is the only way.
A Thought for Change
Everyday is a new, everyday is different, everyday we move towards a direction. A society is like an individual, we make choices as one, for our kids for our environment. Our country is also like an individual, and so is our planet. We guide its conscience with our own, each individual contributes a little with their own conscience like a cell that makes up a body. Once we realize this, we see that everyone is here to serve a purpose, a purpose of evolution. I don’t mean physical adaptation like growing another finger, I mean spirituality and wisdom, I mean change for a brighter future.
When you look back in history you see many mistakes of greed and corruption, you see wars that have been fought, and unjust crimes that have been made by the ego. More land, more resources, more power, and control is what it craves. The ego is half of what makes us, it’s the other duality within that we choose to control or obey. A world that is led by its ego will never see the end of war, will never see the end of poverty, will never see the end of corruption, tyranny and poverty. We are heading in a direction where everyday we are less independent, less of an individual, we loose our right to make choices more and more because we must follow. We must follow the standards of a world, where people are born into poverty or are born into riches. You say, well they have earned where they are and you must do the same. But the truth is that the balance of opportunity is not balanced at all, the reason for this is that everyone looks out for their own interests. The truth is that we are all part of one, and the more we separate ourselves from each other, the more astray we are from uniting as one.
Like I mentioned earlier, we are all one individual which is earth. If you look at it through a universal point of view, we represent earth, not the U.S not Asia or Africa. This is our home, yet we fail to act like it is. We pollute our environment and we pollute our conscience. When an individual is made to think that he is on their own in this world, they become separate from the world. They start to think of their own interests, they are forced to think that nobody will help them out, so they must figure out a way to survive and prosper. Their idea of success is shaped and surrounded by materialism so that other individuals can prosper from them, they become consumers. So everyone is on their own, and while we do this, we separate ourselves from coming together.
Though we know in our morality and our integrity that greed and selfishness is not right, we do little to change it. Not everyone is led by their ego, but those who are, they are the ones with power, money, and they choose to do with society as they please, giving the people less freedom to make things right. The youth is not taught to understand the two dualities which shape our universe, the teachings have been lost or have been corrupted through time with words that misguide and lead us into a world of confusion and misunderstanding. The truth that we all need to know is lurking within ourselves aching to be found.
So how can things change? In this world that we live in today, the people who make up a country are not in control. Without the mass of people who are at the bottom of this great pyramid, there would be no one on the top. Those who are in control would have none, if only the people chose to think for themselves and precede to change things and to regain control for their own lives instead of trying to control others lives. Like Henry David Thoreau once said, “If a plant cannot live according to its nature, it dies; and so a man.” What this means is, if a man cannot live in his own nature, according to his own conscience, he dies inside and becomes something like a machine, a machinery of society, working to accomplish another man’s goals.
Our government is nothing more than our voted representatives, without us the people, they are nothing. So what is this coming down to ? Do we want freedom and liberty or do we want socialism ? There is a big difference in these two, one requires self responsibility and self government, and the other means, we become a natural resource to the state and they will tell us what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. But if for some reason they no longer need us, we become useless seeders. They really don’t care about us, they are only looking out for themselves, yet they act like they care because they need us. They need our support, and we are being manipulated like puppets to serve these men’s needs
So what direction do we want to proceed in ? Am I the only one who thinks that this is a rhetorical question? Things cannot go the way they are going, there needs to be change, and the change starts with each one of us becoming a full individual, aware of what’s going on around us and awake from this illusion we call a life. Self-reliance is what this world is starving from, and without it we become vulnerable to fear, control, and confusion. We need to start making changes so that the future generations aren’t born in a world that will be even more difficult to live in, filled with oppression and a lack of wisdom and liberty.
If we could all turn off our television and demand that it changes what they show, if could eliminate the media so that it stops misguiding the youth. What is the future of this country when the youth grows up brainwashed from all they see and hear from the media ? It delivers mostly ego enhancement, and ignorance encouragement, the kids will grow up thinking materialism is life. Having a new car, a big house, and expensive clothes is success, while those manipulating the whole thing create generations of ignorance, making it easy for them to do as they wish. Those few who profit from this deceiving scheme will eliminate any who oppose them, just like how it has always been. And those who have to work all day in some crappy job just to have food and shelter get nothing more from this life but hard times, not even some sympathy.
There is no balance, because nobody wants to wash their own mess, nobody wants to plant their own food, so they have other people do it, and they are paid in misery. Is this the only way things can work ? I’d like to think it isn’t, if every man would be responsible for their own desires and needs, they would not screw over other people. They could invent something new that could help them out and have a sense of accomplishment rather than being lazy and having others do their work.
Besides what the media creates, there needs to be a change in our education. I don’t know exactly how it would work, but one thing is for sure. This education we receive is not efficient in addressing a persons personal interests and dreams. Instead it gives everyone the same education and the same curriculum as if everyone of us was the same, yet were not and when one looses interest because of the lack of attention of their own desires for life, they drop out. And so we have thousands of people who drop out, but even when they graduate and they learn all the information they’ve learned. We must realize that knowledge is not the same as wisdom. Like Ben Stewart said, “As we move forward with oceans of knowledge but merely a drop of wisdom” we must see that life decisions are not based on how much knowledge you have but the wisdom that you have gained throughout your life experiences.
Wisdom is what we lack, it’s what will propel us in the right path for the dramatic change that we so urgently need. Yet instead of wisdom our world leaders teach us fear, fear of terrorism, fear that we cant make it on our own, and fear that if we rebel we will end up incarcerated or dead. So they give us two choices, either follow the line of blind sheep who work for a life of materialism, or rebel and be our own individuals with our own visions of what life should be like, and end up dead or imprisoned. But we shouldn’t fear, we should be strong within, because we are their workers, we are their soldiers, we are their natural resources and without us they are nothing.
So why do we follow blindly? Why don’t we demand change? Why do those who seek change, wait for someone else to commence it? We don’t have as much time as we think, the ego which is always pursuing control and power will always remain that way, until we fight back and revolutionize our way of living, and thinking. We all need to stop following the leader and start leading our own life. We don’t need someone else to teach us, we don’t need someone else to show us how to live. This is our life and we should be able to do as we please, We should be building a future where we all work as one, with our selves, our neighbors, and our mother, earth. Voluntarily making choices that will help those around us instead of making it harder for them. We all need to learn to have control of our emotion, don’t let jealousy and greed spread, for it is like a cancer that kills us inside. Teach this wisdom to our children so we create a generation of change, and a brighter future for tomorrow.
