Black Nobility Opinion
The Black Nobility came from the Venetians who came from the Phoenicians who came from the Canaanites. The Canaanites originally changed their name from Canaanite to Phoenician, named after the Greek word phoinikèia which means purple. The Canaanites held a monopoly on purple dye which they traded with the Greeks during this time. We still have Canaanite monopolies going on today. It was these Phoenicians who dominated maritime trade and commerce. These were the merchants of the sea. They eventually settled in Italy and this is where we get Venice or Venetian or Phoenician. These powerful merchant families eventually led to the Black Nobility who created a monopoly in the trade routes of the Baltic and North Seas of Europe. This group was known as the Hanseatic League and they once again dominated commerce. There appears to be an emerging pattern with these people.
