In any case, Freud's words lead us to the heart of the Moses-Akhenaton problem. We know that the god of the latter figure was Aton, god of light. This is the same god worshipped by the Israelites under the name Adon. But Adon was a name used in place of the word Jehovah. So Aton and Adon (or Aton and Jehovah) are one and the same being. Since this fact had to be concealed, the story of the volcano-god was concocted. Jehovah was to be met in lands distant from Egypt. He was to be encountered after the exodus and not before. Prior to the exodus only Moses himself would have been granted an audience and that, again, would have been during the time when he was an outcast in remote lands.

— Michael Tsarion; The Irish Origins of Civilization, Volume 2 view

[Sigmund] Freud rightly sensed this and knew full well that Jehovah was but a minor god of mountains and volcanoes, worshipped by small numbers far outside the land of pyramids, sun temples, and complex pantheons.

Biblical scholars have conjectured that the Old Testament is composed essentially of four major narratives, the "J," "E," "JE," and "P" documents woven together into one. The "J" documents are so named because in them God is always referred to as "Jehovah." They are the oldest, written around the ninth century BC, in the southern kingdom of Judah. The "E" documents, so called because in them God is referred to as "Elohim," were written about a hundred years after the "J" documents in the eighth century in the northern kingdom of Israel. Scholars assume the "P" or "Priestly" documents were composed some two-hundred years or so after the "E," about 600 BC. In the fifth century, Jewish priests combined portions of the "J" and"E" documents, adding a little handiwork of their own (known as pious fraud), which are referred to as "JE" documents, since God in these passages is referred to as "Jehovah-Elohim" (translated as "Lord God").

— Max Dimont; Jews, God and History (quoted by Michael Tsarion) view

Jehovah, beholding the decadence of civilization, seeks to redeem humanity by revealing to the willing and by thrusting upon the reluctant those secrets which previously He had reserved for His elect. By this wisdom the godly shall be saved, but the sorrows of the ungodly shall be multiplied.

— Confessio Fraternitatis; quoted by Manly P. Hall view

The true import of the central pillar [of the Sephiroth Tree] is equilibrium. It demonstrates how the Deity always manifests by emanating poles of expression from the midst of Itself but remaining free from the illusion of polarity. If the numbers of the four Sephiroth connected by this column be added together (1 +6 +9 + 10), the sum is 26, the number of Jehovah.

— Manly P. Hall; The Secret Teachings of all Ages view

From this eternal and ancient androgyne--Kether--come forth Chochmah, the great Father, and Binah, the great Mother. These two are usually referred to as Abba and Aima respectively--the first male and the first female, the prototypes of sex. These correspond to the first two letters of the sacred name, Jehovah, יהוה, IHVH. The Father is the י, or I, and the Mother is the ה, or H.

— Manly P. Hall; The Secret Teachings of all Ages view

Because Jehovah arrogantly pretended to be the sole Creator, Eve was obliged to punish him, according to Gnostic scriptures. Though the Mother of All Living existed before everything, the God forgot she had made him and had given him some of her creative power. "He was even ignorant of his own Mother. . . . It was because he was foolish and ignorant of his Mother that he said, 'I am God; there is none beside me."' Gnostic texts often show the creator reprimanded and punished for his arrogance by a feminine power greater and older than himself.

Between them [2 pillars Jachin and Boaz] is the door leading into the House of God, and standing thus at the gates of Sanctuary they are a reminder that Jehovah is both an androgynous and an anthropomorphic deity.

— Manly P. Hall; The Secret Teachings of all Ages view

Dionysus and Jehovah were literally two sides of the same coin in the 5th century B.C., when coins found near Gaza showed Dionysus on one side, and on the other a bearded figure labeled JHWH—Jehovah.

The Demiurgus of the Jews is called in English Jehovah, but when seeking the numerical value of the name Jehovah it is necessary to resolve the name into its Hebrew letters. It becomes יהוה, and is read from right to left. The Hebrew letters are: ה, He; ו, Vau; ה, He; י, Yod; and when reversed into the English order from left to right read: Yod-He-Vau-He. By consulting the foregoing table of letter values, it is found that the four characters of this sacred name have the following numerical significance: Yod equals 10. He equals 5, Vau equals 6, and the second He equals 5. Therefore, 10+5+6+5=26, a synonym of Jehovah. If the English letters were used, the answer obviously would not be correct.

More importantly, the Jehovah of the bible was a corrupt rescripting of the ancient god of the moon, worshipped in Egypt and Ireland from the earliest days. As we have shown, his name (Yehew or Yahweh) originally came from the word for the yew tree.

— Michael Tsarion; The Irish Origins of Civilization, Volume 1 view

The first letter of the name Jehovah is probably derived from the Irish letter Jodh that is the origin of the Hebrew Yod, the first letter of god's name. This letter Jodh or Yodh (the Greek Iota) gives our modern letters "I" and "J." The Irish Druids associated this letter with the tree we refer to as the Yew (from Yeu or Yodh). From this word we derive Jul, Jew, and also Yule meaning Christmas, or the time of the winter solstice.

— Michael Tsarion; The Irish Origins of Civilization, Volume 1 view

[...] Jehovah claimed to be the only God, because he had forgotten the Mother who brought him into being, according to one source. The Mother of Gods was angry that he had impiously sinned against her, and against her other children, the male and female Immortal Ones. These were the elohim of the Book of Genesis. God grouped himself with them, calling the group "us" (Genesis 3:22).

— Barbara G. Walker; The Woman's Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets view

The Mosaic Yahweh was a volcano-god like this Midianite Baal, or like limping Hephaestus and Latin Vulcanus, gods represented by "a pillar of cloud by day, and a pillar of fire by night" (Exodus 13:21-22).

— Barbara G. Walker; The Woman's Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets view

For the followers of Baal, on the other hand, life was about the exercise of power. They believed that if they performed the correct religious practices - sacrifices and magical ceremonies - they could compel their gods to do their bidding.

Isaiah repudiated this view. He told his people that Yahweh had shown them Grace by choosing them, by empowering them to obey, by purging them of their sins, by saving them when they had been stiff-necked and disobeyed, and by the promise of restoring them to former glory even though they did not deserve it. Yahweh's gracious love could never be demanded, bought or earned, he said. It is a love given in complete freedom.

— Mark Booth; The Secret History of the World view

Prometheus was a volcano-god whose worshippers took him to Greece. Yahweh was a volcano-god whose worshippers took him to Judah.

— Jordan Maxwell; Moses The Law Giver view

Yet the original Yahweh seems to have begun as a volcano god also. Mount Sinai, where Moses encountered him, was the seat of a Midianite god who had formerly dwelt in the volcano[...]

But as a matter of historic fact, it should be understood that, while the Jews thus changed their views of Deity from the tribal god of Mount Horeb to the loving and merciful Creator Father of later times, they did not change his name; they continued all the way along to call this evolving concept of Deity, Yahweh.

— Melchizedek of Nebadon; Urantia Book view

Jehovah is a term which in recent times has been employed to designate the completed concept of Yahweh which finally evolved in the long Hebrew experience. But the name Jehovah did not come into use until fifteen hundred years after the times of Jesus.

— Melchizedek of Nebadon; Urantia Book view

So since it was not to their interest to have anyone know the Lord God Almighty was once the Jackal of Egypt, history was blotted out during the Dark Ages.

— Henry Binkley Stein; The Axe Was God view

The Shekina was the divine spot from whence the voice of God originated. Again we see the Egyptian Jackal as the god of the Israelites.

Jehovah even stated to David that he had not lived in a house since he left Egypt but was forced to dwell in a tabernacle.

— Henry Binkley Stein; The Axe Was God view

Genesis XXXV states "and (Alim) God said to Jacob, 'Arise - go to Bethel and dwell there and make an altar unto God (Lal)'.". The Heathen divinities Ashtoreth and Baal - Zebub were called Alim. Aron states "Ale Aleik, these are thy Aleim who brot thee out of the land of Egypt." Cruden states Elim means strong oaks, perhaps a grove. Ale Aleik, God, the God Axe was one of the Aleim, or a strong oak. This alone would prove nothing were not the actions and words of Jehovah enough to identify him as one of the Druid Priesthood.

— Henry Binkley Stein; The Axe Was God view

Jeal left also. He went back to Mount Hor and his home on the mountain. Here is where Elijah (God is Jehovah) went to consult him [Jehovah]. Elijah was one of the faithful. Here it was in the Bible, that Jehovah was raised to the eminence of divine rule of the universe. Here it was that the glorification of Jehovah began. But Jeal was never active again...Indeed the El line was finding better lands to plunder in Rome.

— Henry Binkley Stein; Thirty Thousand Gods Before Jehovah view

Apparently Jeal or Jehovah never compromised very much with Beal. Beal and Jeal were constantly at war. When things went wrong Jeal had an alibi - - Israel had disobeyed. Jeal constantly reminded the Israelites that he led them from Egypt. In fact, the personality of Jeal then was about that of the average politician of today who is constantly reminding the desired voter of an unfulfilled obligation.

— Henry Binkley Stein; Thirty Thousand Gods Before Jehovah view

At Jerico and other towns the women and children all were utterly massacred and all the houses were burned and only the gold and silver brought to the Lord [Jehovah]. To what benefit was gold and silver to the Lord if not to trade?

— Henry Binkley Stein; Thirty Thousand Gods Before Jehovah view

He [Jehovah] directed the Children of Israel to build the tabernacle which was his traveling tent. In the tabernacle there was a dividing veil behind which he stood and gave his directions. The best of all the food, the gold, the women captives were brought to the tabernacle for the lord. The veil and the concealed face served to provide a substitute and also prohibit recognition of the god when seen in the open. Thus one god apparently led the Children of Israel for four hundred years.

— Henry Binkley Stein; Thirty Thousand Gods Before Jehovah view

That Jehovah was a man; that Moses and Israel thought of him as nothing else but a living man is evidenced in many places. Jehovah agreed to show his feet, his hands, his back, in fact, his whole person except his face...All this and many passages too numerous to quote show that the person of Jehovah was concealed from the people, that Jehovah lived on Sinai and did not want any people to visit there.

— Henry Binkley Stein; Thirty Thousand Gods Before Jehovah view

Jehovah told Moses that he had a somewhat different name from the god of Abraham for he was not known to Abraham by the name Jehovah.

— Henry Binkley Stein; Thirty Thousand Gods Before Jehovah view

Between these two locations, Byblos, Cyprus, Tyre, and Phoenicia on the one hand, and Egypt, the Nile and Memphis on the other, there came into play the maneuvers of another strain of gods. Jehovah states that "Jeal" is his name, and Je means lord and el means god. Jehovah Elohim is his name and there are two original manuscripts of Genesis, in the one the word god is Elohim (Elohistic) and in the other the word for god is Jehovah (Jehovistic).

— Henry Binkley Stein; Thirty Thousand Gods Before Jehovah view

Sinai was the home of Jeal or Jehovah (for Jehovah said "Jealous is my name").

...the name of Jehovah, which is commonly used in our churches, is only five hundred years old!

The release of dynamic energy in the Latin is Domas or Donamas. It goes back to the word, our word, dynamite. Dynamite is the releasing of dynamic energy. Domas is the release of energy. Domas comes from the word Yahweh. It can be traced back to Yahweh. Yahweh was the sex act. The male releasing his creative fathers image into the female was called Yahweh.

— Jordan Maxwell; Chief Cornerstone Lecture view

In many cases, Yahweh, or Jehovah, was an hermaphrodite — the God of the Hebrews was both male and female. That's what the Hebrew word for the Tetragrammaton implied, that's why the Bible says that God made man in his own image, "made he male and female," because God was male and female.

— Jordan Maxwell; Matrix of Power view

The inhabitants of Palestine differed in their attitude toward private ownership of land. The southern or wandering Arabian tribes (the Yahwehites) looked upon land as an inalienable—as a gift of Deity to the clan. They held that land could not be sold or mortgaged. "Yahweh spoke, saying, 'The land shall not be sold, for the land is mine.'"

— Melchizedek of Nebadon; The Urantia Book view

Yahweh was the god of the southern Palestinian tribes, who associated this concept of deity with Mount Horeb, the Sinai volcano. Yahweh was merely one of the hundreds and thousands of nature gods which held the attention and claimed the worship of the Semitic tribes and peoples.

— Melchizedek of Nebadon; The Urantia Book view

We have been lead to believe that the entity that the Old Testament describes as a mass murderer and heinous leader is the God of the Universe. We have been lead to think that the slaughter of human beings in the name of God is a divine act.

— Jack Barranger view

One group of alien custodians was named the Jehovah, who had influence over the Hebrew peoples. The Hebrews were befriended and ruled by the Jehovah, who typically landed his craft in the mountains. In order to promote the “God” concept, only specific humans were allowed to approach the Jehovah, which were presented to the humans as a succession of singular beings, named Jehovah, over a long period of time.

— Val Valerian; MATRIX II view

Upon their return to Jerusalem and Judaea they had every reason to fear the retribution of Jehovah, but they turned this fear into outright veneration and absolute obedience - a veneration which set the scene for all that was to follow in the Jewish and Christian religions, whose disciples became classified as 'God-fearing'.

— Laurence Gardner; Genesis of the Grail Kings view

The Hebrew perception of Jehovah also became totally abstract, so that all physical connection with humankind was lost. In Mesopotamian thought, the Earth and heavens were a reflection of the majesty of nature, of which the people were a part and the Anunnaki were a part. But to the emergent Hebrews, nature as a whole (including the sun and the heavens) was seen to be a servant of Jehovah, who was said to have created everything...

To the Hebrews, Jehovah transcended even nature herself, and in consequence of this evolving thought process the true harmony of humankind and nature was forfeit. In erstwhile Mesopotamian, Canaanite and Egyptian thought, the unexplainable divine was manifest within nature, and nature enveloped both the gods and society. This belief, however, was shattered for all time by the biblical Hebrews, who forsook harmony in favour of subservience.

...No longer was God seen to exist within nature: it was thenceforth held that God had created nature.

...As a result, the inherent rectitude of humankind was substantially degraded, to be perceived as quite valueless before God...

— Laurence Gardner; Genesis of the Grail Kings view

What has occurred over the centuries is that, irrespective of the biblical texts, Jehovah has been sidestepped into wholly singular identity, the thoroughly non-historical identity of the 'One God' which prevails today.

— Laurence Gardner; Genesis of the Grail Kings view

Some Gnostics were of the opinion that the Jewish God, Jehovah, was the Demiurgus. This concept, under a slightly different name, apparently influenced mediæval Rosicrucianism, which viewed Jehovah as the Lord of the material universe rather than as the Supreme Deity.
