Right hand of God & the Left hand of God, very interesting topic
Your probably thinking what the f**k is he on about now?
Ever wondered why in schools they used to beat kids for using their left hand? Ever wondered why people only vote for the two biggest political parties? Ever wondered why god can be such a twat sometimes (no offense god). Well your about to find out!
Very few Christians are familiar with the idea of god having two hands .
The thought of God having a right hand and a left hand might sound strange to some people but its true according to scripture!
We find the right hand of God mentioned many times in the Bible, and the left hand of God is mentioned on just a few occasions aswell.
Few have any understanding or revelation of the significance of the left hand and right hand.
First, let us look at the meaning of these two words, right and left. The word "right" as used with "hand" is generally the Hebrew word "yamiym" meaning STRONGER, MORE DEXTEROUS.
The word for "left" is "smowl" meaning DARK. From the meaning of these two words it is very easy to understand that God's right hand is His strength and dexterity.
The implication is that the right hand of God is the GOOD HAND of God, doing GOOD things :)
While the left hand of God does BAD things since its the BAD HAND of God :(
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will STRENGTHEN thee; yea, I will HELP thee; yea, I will UPHOLD thee with the RIGHT HAND of My righteousness"
"Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels"
This is also where we get the word righteous from, and the saying someone being right comes from.
Also in ye olde days arabs used to wipe their arses with their left hand.
The left-right paradigm also comes from the Bible:
The left-right paradigm is a concept in political science where people have a tendency to have two differing beliefs which are in counter opposite with each other on a topic within politics for example immigration, some might be for immigration while others might be against it.
It is often used by political parties to create divide within society. The tactic creates confusion and frustration among the population and forces them to take a stance on issues and makes people fall into one of two camps, by making it seem that there were only ever two options to begin with.
Interesting isnt it?
So if anyone calls you a far-right extremist, then thats actually a good thing ironically.
